“Who are these guys?”

I guess you could say a band that has opened for The Rolling Stones, The Who, Tina Turner, Jimi Hendrix and The Monkees to name a few . . . and who have played venues like The Hollywood Bowl, The RPI Fieldhouse, The Palace Theater, The Waldorf Astoria and Tavern On The Green, to name another few, is quite impressive. However, I think the people that have navigated their way to this site are also interested in who and what Bobby Dick & The Sundowners are about today, next month, next year.

Hi, my name is Bobby Dick and I want to thank you for visiting our website. While the above milestones are amazing, in some ways I may be just as proud of the fact that our band is just as relevant today playing venues from Sotheby’s to your local sports bar and Palm Beach to The Adirondack’s.

As you can see from our song list and hear on this site, you would be hard pressed to find any band that has such a depth of repertoire and covers so much music so well. We’re proud being known as “The Cover Band’s Cover Band”, playing music from Bennett to Bono, Elvis to Eagles, Phish to Funk, Beatles to Bruce and everything in between and yet to come.

Then, at dinner dance party venues, the band includes Susie “Q” D.J. to fill in any gaps, while at the same time offering continuous entertainment. As for Susie (my wife) she’s not your typical D.J., who often are over top and obsessed with “we’re all going to do this and we’re all going to do that”. Our friends and clients know how to have fun and do not need to be led around like children. Obviously, I’m a little biased but if you’re looking for a great party band and a D.J. who thinks outside the box, the combination of Bobby Dick & The Sundowners and Susie “Q” D.J. is hard to beat.
